I am a licensed clinical psychologist in private practice in Lexington, MA.  I am also the clinical director of the Merrimack Valley Counseling Association, a large multidisciplinary group practice in Nashua, NH.  I have been in clinical practice since 1988, working mainly with adults in individual and couple psychotherapy.

I received my PhD in clinical psychology from Boston University and my masters degree in counseling and consulting psychology from Harvard University.  My formal clinical training began with a two-year practicum placement at the Brookline Community Mental Health Center.  I continued my clinical training in the psychology internship program at McLean Hospital where I worked with adults in both inpatient and outpatient settings.   I subsequently completed a post-doctoral fellowship at Harvard Community Health Plan where I worked with adults in individual, couple, group, and stress management modalities.

Within these varied training sites I learned to provide short-term, solution-focused therapy, long-term psychodynamic therapy, stress-management techniques, and relaxation skills and strategies.   Through these programs and my continuing education activities, I have developed the skills necessary to work in a flexible manner that is responsive to the needs of each client.
